REQUIRED SUPPLIES

Please purchase extra necessary supplies here for when your care package samples run out. You will need to order these ahead of time. Links provided in red. You can also purchase these supplies from us at pickup - make sure to reserve your supplies beforehand (our prices in parentheses).

• Milk Replacer: Gerber GoodStart GentlePro

  • Add 1 unpacked level scoop (8.7 g) to each 2 fl oz of water.

• Bottle-feeding supplies: Original Miracle Nipple ($8) and Miracle O-ring Syringe, Luer Lock Tip, sizes 3cc to 10cc ($5). Your baby will be using the 3cc syringe upon pickup, but you can increase syringe size as they grow.

• Lemur Biscuits: Mazuri Leaf-Eater Primate Diet, Mini-Biscuit. ($60 per 25# bag)

Other supplies

• Diapers (optional): Small Beginnings Beary Small Bili Buns, or Premie sized diapers. Size depends on the individual lemur.

• Outdoor Enclosure: Lemurs need to be able to play outdoors OFF LEASH to get the necessary Vitamin D, and to fight boredom, which often leads to aggression, self-mutilation and neurotic behaviors. The simplest option is a poultry or dog run. We like the Rugged Ranch Walk-In Pen, preferably with the Extension Kit to double the size (approximately $1000 in total). You can add all sorts of enrichment such as swings, rope toys, and hammocks. It’s the perfect time for them to take a break from diapers.
